The DVS integrated module employs optical fibers as vibration sensors, utilizing a single fiber to simultaneously monitor vibrations and transmit signals. Based on Rayleigh's backscattering principle, when external vibrations interfere with the fiber, they cause fluctuations in the amplitude of reflected light within the fiber. The module detects these variations to perceive vibration intensity and precisely locate the vibration source.
The module integrates multiple components required for detection, typically including a 3K narrow linewidth fiber laser, an AOM acousto-optic modulator, a pulsed EDFA (erbium-doped fiber amplifier), an optical circulator, a Raman amplifier, and a high-signal-to-noise ratio detection module. These components work in concert to achieve functions such as generating, modulating, amplifying, and detecting optical.
